Who are we?
Ground Effects is a landscape supply center specializing in hardscaping goods.
Do we sell to the public?
Yes. Ground Effects sells both to contractors and to the public.
What are our options for payment?
Payment is due at the time of purchase. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and checks.
Do you have sales?
Ground Effects strives to provide quality materials at affordable prices. We do our best to offer materials at the lowest possible prices; therefore, we do not have traditional sales.
Am I able to return or exchange items?
The return/exchange policies vary depending on the material/s. All returns must be made within 6 months of the purchase date. There are no returns or exchanges on natural stones, gravels, mulches, or soils. All materials sold by the square/face foot are subject to a 25% restock fee and are only accepted if they arrive back in our yard in full unopened, banded sections. Those materials sold by the piece are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Custom and special orders are not returnable or exchangeable.
Do you deliver?
Yes. Ground Effects will deliver your materials directly to the jobsite. Our delivery rates vary depending on the mileage from our yard. See our delivery area to find out what your delivery cost would be. We provide a 2 hour window for your delivery; however, no delivery times are guaranteed.
How far will you deliver material?
We will deliver nearly anywhere. We have had deliveries to states surrounding Illinois so don’t hesitate to ask about our rates if you don’t see your area listed in our zones.
Do you ship items?
Yes. Although they are not available for purchase through the website yet, feel free to call and order pond supplies and tools over the phone to be shipped.
Do I have to buy a full pallet of bricks or wall blocks?
No. All materials sold by the square foot can be purchased in full banded sections. The number of sections varies depending on the style of material you choose. Some materials are sold by the piece. Most natural stones are sold by the weight.
Do you provide installation?
No. Ground Effects is strictly a supply company; however, we can recommend a contractor in your area or give you tips and ideas to help you install your project yourself.
